Who We Are
Nepean Valley Basketball Association (NVBA) is a new association formed through a community-driven merger of local basketball leaders, working in partnership with the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre (PVRSC).
Together, we’re building a new chapter for local basketball, with the shared commitment that the facility and the community always come first.
Our focus is simple:
✅ Fair and affordable pricing
✅ Transparent and community-driven operations
✅ Competitions and programs for everyone
Every dollar you spend stays right here — reinvested directly into improving the stadium, maintaining the courts, and supporting the game’s growth across the Penrith region.
Nepean Valley Basketball represents a fresh start — united, local, and built on the belief that the strength of the game begins with the strength of the facility.

Our Structure
NVBA operates as an incorporated association under NSW law and is a controlled entity of the PVRSC.
That means the Sports Centre provides governance oversight, strategic direction, and financial management to ensure long-term stability and accountability.
This structure ensures:
✅ The community’s basketball programs remain sustainable and transparent.
✅ Decisions are made locally, with a focus on community benefit.
✅ The Centre’s broader multi-sport and community values guide basketball’s growth in the region.
Affiliation
NVBA is currently operating independently while it prepares to seek formal affiliation with the SSO (Basketball New South Wales (BNSW).)
Our goal is to meet all requirements for recognition while maintaining the governance standards and integrity expected under PVRSC oversight.
Until affiliation is finalised, all NVBA competitions and activities are fully insured and delivered under the governance of PVRSC Ltd, ensuring participant safety and continuity.

❤️ Community First
Nepean Valley Basketball Association exists to serve the local basketball community — part of the wider Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre family.
Every decision we make is guided by one purpose: helping basketball grow, stay accessible, and thrive for future generations.
